Trusting someone else to bring your brand to life can be like choosing an actor to play you in a movie about your life. A relief to let a professional do it but also weirdly…personal. I’ve been working alongside business owners and founders since 2018, helping them clarify their vision and bring it to life. I’ve been around this block enough times to create and refine a process that I know brings incredible results.

Step 1. Assessment

No matter how big or small, simple or complex, I kick off every single project with an assessment. The assessment starts with our conversation on the discovery call. If we both feel like it’s a good fit, I’ll continue with a more in-depth analysis and send you a proposal containing my formal assessment and some recommendations for you to choose from.

The process

Step 2. Treatment Plan

This phase is my favourite, though it’s arguably the least sexy. Putting together a treatment plan is the behind-the-scenes, down and dirty research, strategy and ideation that goes into any impactful brand or copywriting work.

Do yourself a favour.

  • I don’t! I do brand strategy and what’s known as the verbal part of brand identity. Think mission/vision/values, personality, and voice. Logos etc are the visual part of a brand identity, and the two parts work together to create one whole brand. If you do need the whole thing, I have a couple trusted brand designers I bring in to deliver an end to end branding project.

  • Yes! I have a handful of mega talented designers and developers I call on so you don’t have to find, screen, and manage more people to bring your website to life.

  • For projects under $1000, I take full payment up front. For anything over that, I take 50% up front and 50% either 4 weeks later OR on delivery of the first draft, whichever comes first. I do believe in making my services more accessible where possible, so if you’re dying to work with me but need a more flexible payment option, let’s chat about it.

  • To draft is human. To revise is divine. Most of my projects include 2 rounds of revisions. You will get a feedback guide that explains the difference between a rebrief and a revision and tells you how to give great feedback.

  • None of my clients has ever hated their brand work, and that’s because I have a failsafe built into my process. After the research phase, I present every client with a research summary document. It ain’t pretty, but it shows the direction we’re going in and that gets approved before I go and spend hours writing and strategising.
